Andrea Adkins is the assistant trainer at Cadence Ranch. She has her USDF bronze and silver medal achievements that go to show she has accomplished all the national dressage tests and the international small tour dressage tests with satisfactory scores needed to accomplish these first 2-steps in the USDF medal achievement program.

She began her professional career riding and teaching in Lubbock, TX in 2011. Andrea’s goals were to advance her skills learning from top FEI instructors in Texas. Her aspirations moved her to the Austin area where she met Christine Calao and became her working student in 2017. During this time, Andrea immersed herself in education and training. Andrea’s skills quickly improved under the tutelage of Christine and became her assistant trainer in 2018.

Andrea has ridden under many accomplished riders and trainers such as Tara Stegen, Whit Watkins, Lars Petersen, Bo Jenna, Betsy Steiner, and Robert Dover. She has attended many judging seminars and training clinics such a Wim Ernes, Katrina Wurst, Christian Bachinger, Lilo Fore, Steven Clark, George Williams, and Charlotte Dujardin, earning her 14 USDF University credits. Andrea achieved Rider performance awards at training through 2nd level, the USDF bronze and silver medal, a certificate of performance at Prix St. George and won her first CDI medium tour in 2021. Andrea climbed up the levels and together with her personal horse, she trained him to the Grand Prix level.
