Barn name Otter is a 2016 17.1hh Hanoverian gelding schooling all of the 4th level/ PSG. Otter is safe, sane, forward and fun above all else. Super incredible horse to ride with super easy flying changes schooling 2’s and 1’s! Otter is developing his talent with collection where his canter pirouettes are becoming his highlight and is schooling piaffe passage. He is lovely in the contact, light but consistent and rides from the seat. Otter has a nice rolling canter, rhythmic walk, and a elevated trot that people with weaker core strength might find difficult to sit. Its quite lofty but has a nice swing to it which makes it easier to sit. Otter is nicely forward but more importantly he matches the rider’s energy perfectly which makes him safe for all riders. He is visually blind/ impaired in his left eye. Said eye is healthy and will continue to be with no maintenance, original report on file. Great ground manners and is a easy horse to get along with.

Otter went to his first show and first time off property at the beginning of march 2023. He went on to score over 73% in his first test ever which was the new 4-3 test! He is currently qualified for 3rd and 4th level championships under his owner and trainer, Christine Calao. Christine started him as a young horse and has been his only rider so Otter is trained under an experienced Grand Prix rider who believes Otter is clearly a Grand Prix prospect. He is a top candidate for JR/YR, U25, and possible Para mount.
